This year’s dance contest started in September with a visit to select Nigerian universities – Nnamdi Azikiwe University (Unizik), University of Port-Harcourt (Uniport) and Adekunle Ajasin University (AAUA). Students auditioned at these universities to participate in the regional contests and those who emerged as winners were rewarded with N50,000 cash and brand new itel S15 smartphones.
As a proud sponsor of this dance tour, activities such as iGTM Trivia, social media influencer challenge and a grand finale raffle draw were hosted for users. The following users won cash and airtime during these activities. At the grand finale, attendees jostled for the grand prize of Thirty Thousand Naira, by joining the event’s chatroom which qualified them for a raffle ticket on the spot. Over 500 attending students joined the chatroom to get a chance at the star reward.
The grand finale was held at the Yaba College of technology with so many students from different parts of Lagos. The social media challenge had students take a picture of themselves using Scooper’s favourite placards and Instagram frame. These pictures were to be posted on their pages tagging Scooper and itelmobile with some of their friends. Those with the most engaging posts got rewarded with premium branded items.
After a fiercely contested dance battle, the Aji Dancers from UNILAG emerged as group winner, while Okunuga Jamal, an undergraduate student of Yabatech emerged the deserved winner of the individual category. For the raffle draw sponsored by Scooper, Yabatech OND3 Physical Education student Sonibare Damilare was extremely lucky and emerged the winner.
Sonibare Damilare’s joy knew no bounds as he couldn’t thank scooper enough. Here is what he said, ‘I didn’t expect that I could be N30,000 richer today. Thank you Scooper for making my day a great one’.
With electrifying performances from Vector, Poco Lee, DJ Mojoe, MC Prof, Tolu Daniels and many more, along with a host of other upcoming Nigerian entertainers in attendance, itel’s I Got the Moves 2.0 proudly sponsored by Scooper certainly went down as a memorable event.
